After visiting for the first time, it truly became an antojito to eat an arepa, cachapa, pastelito, and an empanada not separately but all at once. It's an experience to taste the combination of flavors. Also, the owner is a very lovely person and it's admirable to see her run this all on her own. Plus, there's also a cute seating area next to the food truck to cure any angst that comes with waiting for food.
I work a mile down the road and needed to grab something fast, so I decided to grab something from one of the food trucks at the gas station parking lot down the street. There was a Mexican option an a Venezuelan option. I obviously chose the second one. I ordered an arepa and an empanada. The arepa is basically a deep fried sandwich with a meat and cheese on it. It was pretty good. Definitely not healthy by any means. I had it stuffed with shredded beef. The empanada I had with cheese and black beans. It was pretty good as well. The food was pretty good overall. The wait time was probably about 12 minutes. They do have a covered patio with blaring Latino music. A bit much for me to eat there.
This is a shack in a gas station, nothing fancy is actually a tent next to a taco truck.. I mean arepa truck lol super delicious and greasy. but is authentic, good and super friendly : no bathrooms or place to wash ur hands but they offer sanitizer. wait.... u can used the gas station :P great flavors a bit pricy for what it is but is always great to see the workers smiles and have fun with some latin music :
Great arepas. Friendly bilingual staff. Great location. An efficient and organized restaurant.
