The veggies had the right crunch and noodles were well cooked. Sauces felt unique and fresh. Portion size were good enough. Will definitely try out other items on the menu on our next visit to Nashville.Food 5/5Service take out time about 20. 4/5Ambience did a take out, so not sure.Price Average. 4/5.
I wish google allows to give zero star rating. This place is nowhere near close to taste of Honest Franchise. The bread served to us had a mold on it. Very unfriendly staff and no taste in their food whatsoever. Highly disappointed!
We 've been to Honest india a couple of times. Always went there for a decent Dosa.Let 's start with the good. The Gobi Manchurian was delicious. We 're suckers for a good Gobi Manchurian. The gravy kind was overly crunchy for me because it 's loaded with cabbage. Still delicious though. The Channa puri was good too. Good flavor.Negatives this time around:we went there at 3pm. I was told No dosa. No south Indian dishes without any other explanation. Not sure if there 's a change in management. But the dosa was clearly on the menu and on all the posters around the restaurant. That was a disappointment. And the place smelt a bit funky. Not spices funky, just not a good smell at all.Hope they do better.
So didn't get to eat here because....When the guy came to my table...I ask for the drink I can only get at an Indian restaurant...mango lasi..He said: no more lasi for the evening...its over. So I say ok?! How the masala tea...also over. And so I got up and left. Im sorry I didn't come to an Indian restaurant to grab a coke products.
Our first visit to Honest Indian restaurant in Nashville, TN.We approached the front door and my petite wife tried to open the door but, due to some kind of suction inside, was unable to do so and required the attendant to assist her from the inside. We got inside and the lights were very bright, reminiscent more of a corporate cafeteria than a fine dining restaurant. The decor was plain and uninspiring. This restaurant only serves vegetarian dishes but we were up for some spicy, aromatic Indian food. I ordered the Palak Paneer extra spicy. My wife ordered the Honest SP Biryani a little spicy. My son ordered the Paneer Bhurji mild. My wife and son also ordered a Mango Lassi to drink but the waiter said they only had one Mango Lassi left so my wife settled for water. I had an orange Fanta in a can. It was warm and the glass had no ice and I had to ask the waiter to bring some ice. Lastly, we ordered three Garlic Roti bread but the waiter said they were out of Garlic Roti so we settled for Buttered Roti. Out of garlic, really? It is worth noting that many of the main menu items were unavailable and the waiter had to suggest substitutes, notable they were the most expensive items on the menu. After a long wait, the food finally arrived. My wife and son's dishes were hot but my Palak Paneer had been sitting for a while and was luke warm. I had to send it back to get warmed back up. The taste of all the main dishes and bread was very good. With the extra bowl of Basmati Rice it was more than we could finish. By lunch the next day it was gone.Since the soft drinks come in cans there are no free refills. I ordered another Orange Fanta and the only other can of soda they had was a Diet Coke. I had to settle for a water. Seriously, what kind of restaurant runs out of soda? The mens room bordered on filthy with the toilet dirty and scraps of toilet paper all over the floor. I would have waited if I could but, when nature calls, she calls. In summary, service was ho-hum, food was good but they were out of at least three things we requested and had to substitute other items. The bathroom was dirty and decor was uninspiring. This is a chain restaurant with 28 locations in the US, Canada and Australia. I think corporate should keep a closer eye on their restaurants. This entire dining experience was sub standard and I would not eat at any HonestT restaurant again.Vegetarian options: All menu items are vegetarian.
