The restaurant is located in a beautiful hotel with plenty of character. However, the atmosphere in the basement restaurant was very dark. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy with only 2 people at the bar and 4 other tables occupied. Our food took an hour to arrive as our waiter forgot to put in our order. Even though the restaurant was not busy, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes to receive our checks after requesting them. Overall, the service was not good.
I don't understand how this restaurant stays in business. Our experience began on a bad note as we had a reservation for 10 people but were unable to sit together at one table. The service and food were both extremely slow, taking over 30 minutes to receive our drinks from the bar and even longer for our appetizers and main courses. By the time we finished our meal, we had been there for 2.5 hours and decided to skip dessert altogether. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
I feel like Make Ready is the Platform 9 3/4 of restaurants even though you know it's there, it's still hard to find. It's in the lower level of the Hotel Noelle, and the signage is minimal, if not missing. The waitress asked if we were celebrating a special occasion (we must have looked happy). We were our daughter's EdD degree from Vanderbilt. And they brought the adults each a glass of complimentary champagne!! The food was great. Our age 7 ate an entire gem lettuce salad and LOVED the sp … – show
I was excited to try this place with an out of town guests and just disappointed. The staff was friendly, but ok. I feel like the price we paid for what we got was pretty sad. We added on some of there breakfast potatoes, that only came out hard and cold like left overs. I just think you could find a better place to spend your money. I really did love the decor and what it could have been.
