Otaku Ramen

We arrived at 8 PM, but the staff at the register informed us that the dining area closes at 8. If this is indeed your policy, please make sure to update your website. We traveled across town only to be denied entry, which led to a very disappointing experience.

This ramen is quite good, but it’s fairly overpriced. One thing that really confuses me is how it can take 45 minutes to prepare two bowls. Isn’t ramen supposed to be quick? I wasn’t allowed to place my order online or over the phone and was told I’d have to wait 15 minutes in the restaurant. However, it ended up being 45 minutes. I’m still waiting.

I expected the boba tea to be sweeter, and it felt quite overpriced at $7, especially considering it was mostly ice. I wouldn't order that again. The restaurant is small and has limited seating, with many spots facing a line of people waiting to place their orders or pick up their food. I found it quite startling that the staff YELLS orders back to the kitchen; it seemed unnecessary. Parking can be quite frustrating. It’s free for two hours, but you have to register your license plate and credit card through an app or website. Furthermore, the restaurant doesn’t accept cash—only card payments. They also ask for a tip even if you're just ordering and picking up your own food. For those interested in vegetarian options, they offer two dishes: Tantanmen and Triple Garlic. Just keep in mind the parking situation if you plan to visit!

This lovely little restaurant has a charming ambiance and gorgeous decor. While it may be a bit of a hot take, I truly appreciate a concise menu. To me, it reflects a commitment to perfecting each dish, ensuring they are consistently well-prepared. I tried the pork shoyu with pork belly, and I highly recommend it. The gentleman at the counter offered excellent suggestions, and one of the chefs even came out to chat with us about sake. What a fantastic place! As I share this experience, I realize I forgot to ask for that spicy bomb flavor addition. I’ll definitely return and keep that in mind for my next visit. Thanks again to everyone!

The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was charming, and I would certainly return to sample more dishes from the menu.
