Both of them I was there, the chef went around the whole room to show me all the things I could eat. it included about 90% of the food salad bar, smoked meat, lobster, steak, fish, vegetables, bahamian specialities, etc. the cook also offered to me almost every gf version of what I saw there fish, pasta, pizza, etc. I asked for fried fish he made me special! I also asked about pizza in the next night they made me one. both delicious. they had like 10 aromen of homemade fruit picks as well as mini mousse desserts eis, the only part is the price. $54 I think, but w control it is about $75 for dinner. it is worth considering the price in other restaurants there is very expensive and they only get a plate of eating for the same price.
By the hostess recommended not to eat here, which was a little disappointing, because I had read reviews that the cook was very good about zöliakie! when my man and I came to the restaurant and the host told that I had a strong gluten allergy, she simply expanded her eyes and said: "I would then stay away from a buffet if I were her. ‘
I dined here for a full week and didn’t get sick, which is a plus! However, there are some drawbacks. The waitstaff seems unfamiliar with handling allergy concerns, and there are no labels for allergens at the buffet. It's best to speak directly with the chef if you have any dietary restrictions. They do offer gluten-free pancakes and French toast, but they’re not the best. On the bright side, the omelet station is completely gluten-free, so that's a reliable option when you’re unsure.
I was disappointed when the hostess advised against dining here, especially since I had seen reviews praising the chef's expertise with celiac disease. When my husband and I arrived and mentioned my severe gluten allergy to the hostess, her reaction was concerning. She widened her eyes and said, "I’d stay away from a buffet then, if I were you..."
This place was absolutely amazing! I mentioned that I have a gluten-free diet, and the hostess immediately went to get the chef. On both of my visits, the chef personally showed me around the entire restaurant to point out all the items I could enjoy. About 90% of the menu was available to me, including the salad bar, smoked meats, lobster, steak, fish, vegetables, and Bahamian specialties. The chef was also willing to make gluten-free versions of almost anything I saw, including fish, pasta, and pizza. I requested breaded fried fish, and he prepared it just for me! When I asked for pizza the next night, they made one for me as well, both of which were delicious. They offered around ten flavors of homemade fruit popsicles, along with mini mousse desserts and gluten-free ice cream. The only downside was the price; it was around $54, which with taxes came to about $75 for dinner. However, considering that other restaurants in the area are similarly priced but only serve one plate of food, it was definitely worth it!
