I had visited the Carriage House 12 years ago and had such wonderful memories of it. However, I was disappointed this time around. The napkin on our table was burned around the edges, which was off-putting. The food was served buffet style, but what wasn’t dried out was either burned or had a terrible fishy flavor. I even struggled to cut the brownie dessert with a knife! Our waitress never refilled our tea and seemed to just watch as I added the tip to the bill. Overall, the entire experience was terrible, and I won’t be returning.

In the spirit of Southern hospitality and cuisine, your Sunday brunch is my favorite! It truly makes me feel at home.
I absolutely love lunch! I enjoyed the tomato aspic, delicate biscuits with maghaw jelly, and a roasted green tomato appetizer paired with seafood. Although the restaurant is famous for its fried chicken, I tend to opt for the fish instead. The atmosphere is lovely, situated behind Stanton Hall, one of the historic homes that offer tours. I also enjoy browsing the gift shop for pony Sterling silver items. It's a popular spot for garden clubs and holds a rich history of pilgrimages.
This is probably at the top of my list to eat in places in the USA!!!! Thursdays especially when they are the blue dish for lunch. The best food I've ever eaten!!!
