La Playa Beach Bar Restaurant, Marathon

It was a favourite place for summer bath. We go there since 2017. But this year the price has changed so much but the food quality and service didn't get better. We ordered Greek Salad and it was not a proper Greek Salad without all the ingredients. From now we will think for the future visit.

Unfortunately, I can only judge by the product I got, freddo espresso. I live in the neighbourhood and for 2 consecutive years this is the most expensive take-away coffee (EUR3.8!!! in the coastline from Timvos to Nea Makri. Problem is that price did not meet the whatsoever quality expectations.

Beautiful beach restaurant with a lounge bar great for cocktails, snacks, food and gelato. The owners gives you all the facilities to enjoy a whole day next to seaside and relax. Amazing for kids and families , even for a romantic dinner. You should enjoy.

Typical brach bar restaurany by the sea. Nothing much

Unfortunately I paid a visit not alone but with the rest of my classmates as we were visiting the marathon. Since we needed to eat something we went to la playa (the workers were informed that we were visiting). Big mistake! Whereas the teachers were all pleased since they could sit, order whilst sitting and look at the amazing view. We, the students, had to go ourselves and order at the bar and choose between a small collection of snacks. If I have to be honest the food was ok. One thing that generally disgusted me was the fact that they were touching our food with their bare hands after serving our teachers. We had to wait standing for more than 30 minutes so we could eventually get our sandwiches not toasted after asking more than once. When they handed me the food I told them I asked for it to be toasted to which they responded that it was impossible to do that. Not gonna mention the outrageous prices. I was absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed. At the end they asked for us to make a review and this I wrote mine. Don’t expect for us to put 5 stars when you have treated us like we don’t matter. I would also want to add that the servers were polite and friendly, we had no problem with them. Lastly under no circumstance should you use the bathroom. To be honest we did go at a beach bar whilst the summer season hasn’t started yet, I hope that was the cause of the problems…
