French fries were very good,beans were great,but the brisket was barely warm.

Food was good, nice place in the small town of Nelson.

Just go, you can’t go wrong. You WILL have leftovers unless you tag team something-even the salad. Order at the window but it’s brought out and cleaned up. Really, short of them patting my head and telling me I’m pretty, smart and gosh darn people like me, the place is a perfect weekend afternoon lunch. Wait, I’d pass on the Mac, personal preference.

If you're looking for something to eat and going through Nelson it's a must experience place, better be hungry!

Totally yummy full rack of Very meaty ribs, French fries, and BBQ beans! The place was charming and the staff friendly, too. Well worth a trip from the Twin Cities to enjoy the experience!!! Update: We returned to J J BBQ Catering and the food was better than I remembered. Our meal tasted great and was an excellent value at under $38 dollars; despite being really hungry we had leftovers to take home. I recommend taking cash for their “tip jar” or leaving it on the table for their hard working and cheerful staff (there was no place on the credit receipt to leave a tip).
