Alpen Tenne - Nenzing

What a find! I couldn't get over this place. We decided to eat down in the Brandnertal valley before moving on to Lunersee and walked around Brand without seeing anything that was either open or inspiring. Moving a couple of kilometers up the road to Innertal we stopped at what looked like a cute little snack bar. From the outside at least that's what it looked like, on the inside it is beautiful and it's huge! There's 3 bars, there are cozy little snugs, there's a full restaurant, there's a conservatory with bar, there's a patio, there's free toiletries in the ladies rest-room and believe it or not there's a bath mat in the gents!!! This place is just unbelievable, beautifully decorated and furnished and so clean. And the service was incredible; when we arrived there was a coach party just settling down and we were informed there might be a delay. Well, if 20 minutes is what they call a delay then they can take over Southern Rail any day. No word of a lie; the 2 waitresses managed to serve a whole bus party, take our order, then deliver our food, all in about 20 minutes. The food itself was excellent and well presented and the beer dangerously welcoming. It is worth that extra kilometer; it's well worth several extra kilometers and I can promise you we will return and we will drive past quite a few other places to get here. Thank you Alpen Tenne.

We were informed prior to our visit to Brand in July of this year that our hotel were no longer providing dinner.It had become a B&B. We searched the web for restaurants in the village in order that we were prepared to explore and sample the various venues found. Since we had been visiting this village for many,many years we had already experienced a majority of the restaurants at lunch times but had never had the need to leave our hotel since the dinners they provided were absolutely excellent. It was a shock to learn that they were no longer providing dinners during the summer months. During our stay on this visit we tried 3 restaurants and were pleasantly pleased with the food and service. However the best to us by far was the Alpen Tenne.. We ate there on 4 different occasions sampling various dishes which were all superb. The ambience and service could not be faulted and Bruno and Margit who provided the service were perfect hosts who made you feel like one of the family. It was reasonably obvious that many of the Diners were local and this in itself was a good statement . ON our next visit we shall use other restaurants but the majority of our dinners will be here. Cannot recommend it enough.

Driving from brand town center towars the palued cable car, you will pass alpetenne restaurant at your left. we walked the area and wanted to eat pizza that eveving. the restsurant has a nice terrace along the road and after 5 pm not mucj traffic passes. we enjoyedcthe aftetnoon sum and the great pizza's. we took the regular size pizza's and the kids had a small one. delicious.....good atmosphere and friendly staff..highly recommended. our neighboring table had cordon blue and wiener schnitzel and these were huge!!!.

Service has been slow. Dessert ordered but not served and Irish coffee w/o whiskey... We've been long term customers but very disappointed this evening

Attentive, friendly and hearty operation. food is delicious and therefore the price-performance level is very good.
