For $13, I was handed a flimsy wrap with a miserly filling and, bewilderingly, a whole crouton inside. The chicken was deli meat ?and bacon could might as well have been cardboard for all its flavor and moisture. The audacity to charge and serve this without showing it first is baffling. I mistakenly tipped in advance, a choice I deeply regret. If you value your money and taste buds, avoid this place like the plague. Go ANYWHERE else!
This place has been such a popular spot for those who work in the area. The Royal Oak is popular for sit down and drinks, but I prefer the deli for a quick takeout wrap and it takes less time/effort than running to College Square. It seems less busy since the pandemic with most people working from home, but it 's nice to still see people coming in and out during the lunch rush.In the last few years, ownership has changed from the Italian twin brothers to an Asian couple, which explains Shake Shake Fresh Tea now co located in the same space :)They 've kept the same deli menu and even the original blackboard menu, which is a sweet ode to the previous owners. I usually try to switch up my choices, but I don 't come here as often as I used to, so I went with a favourite the Centrepointe Club, which is actually a wrap (they all are). It had Genoa salami, capocollo, mortadella, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, and special sauce. I added spicy eggplant and chose whole wheat pita bread.I didn 't pay too close attention as he was making it because there were other people waiting and eating and I wanted to give them space, but I think the special sauce might just be mayo now. There was a bit less meat than there used to be, so the sandwich was a little thinner than I was used to, but overall, it tasted pretty much the same as it used to. On the plus side, it wasn 't as messy as it used to be with everything falling out of the sandwich when you bite into it. It was well put together and pressed, nice and warm, a little crispy on the outside, and tasty. It definitely hit the spot. I do wish it was just a bit bigger, as I was still a little hungry after (given, I do have a big appetite), but thankfully I had some bubble tea, too! haha (See my separate review for the bubble tea on the Shake Shake Fresh Tea business page.)I might prefer the old sandwiches more just by a hair, but the new owners and service are great. They 're super sweet, friendly, polite, and speedy. They 're also currently masking up, which is awesome, especially when preparing and serving food.Love being able to get a deli sandwich and bubble tea at the same time, and the owners. Winning combo for me!
Good price for bubble tea and the staff is nice. I love that they have dairy-free milk options and buy-10-get-1-free bubble tea stamp cards.
Ordered some sandwiches on Uber eats with ice tea, they didn’t have ice tea but left me with a kind note and great substitute drinks, also ordered a mango slush boba drink and it was delicious. Loved it
A co-worker of mine had to use the bathroom . As I drop her off she needed to come back to the truck to grab some change and buy something because the bathroom was « customers only ». During a time like covid , I find it a bit harsh to reject a girl from using the restroom when it’s available .
