It seemed that it was more focused on the family foods as the place was filled with children, and the food is not tasteful... or even so good looking. It's all that can be cooked at home, but better. I'm sorry to sound so negative about the food, but it really wasn't that great. The servers are friendly, but that makes the experience more fun, but just not eating the money.
The food at Kelsey's is pretty standard, so the overall experience is just okay. The main drawback is the open layout and high ceilings which create a very noisy atmosphere, making it hard to have a conversation. This restaurant is better suited for a modern family who doesn't mind being on their devices throughout the meal.
I went with my coworkers for some wings, and even though the restaurant was crowded, the service was top-notch. Our order was accurate, and I would definitely suggest this spot to others!
For years I have gone to Kelseys; I remember it being “ok”. Yesterday we went to dinner, but wanted to leave something different than our usual, without having to leave Barrhaven. Our son's friend worked in Kelsey's for a little while, so we thought we'd give him another try. My husband said the wings (hot sauce on the side) were the best he had in Barrhaven. My son enjoyed the Alfredo Chicken (but was disappointed that it no longer comes with garlic toast). As allergic to beef and milk, my options were extremely limited. But I chose the Thai Curry Bowl and would go back happy to have it again. Add to that last night was $5 pinot grigio night, and I was a happy gal!
I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is excellent and the food, including the margaritas, is great. I suggest trying the chili, as well as the pulled pork sandwich or tacos, which are fantastic.
