Una maravilla,Antonio,su mujer,su hermano te hacen sentir que estás en casa desde el primer momento aunque esta se encuentre a casi mil kilómetros.Pon la cervecita a enfriar que los asturianos volvemos en semana santa
We stayed here for a week and the apartment served us well. It had air conditioning, washing machine, cooker, kettle, iron etc. Towels were provided. We actually asked for more towels at reception too and it was no problem. It had patio furniture folding beds for lying out at the pool (very handy). The pools were lovely. About a 30 second walk from our apartment. They are kept clean and it was nice and quite at both pools. We only ate in the pool restaurant once..it was very basic but good. Handy when you're spending a day at the pool. We were there in late sept/early Oct and both pools were open. There were lots of gardeners around and the village itself was very well kept. The only downfalls were that the apartment was quite dated and it had a musty smell. It left a smell on our clothes and bits that we left in the drawers/wardrobes so maybe just don't use them. One of the rooms was very small. Literally just enough room to walk around the bed but this is a very minor complaint. It's about a 20/25 min walk into Nerja and 10/15 mins to Burriana Beach. It's a steep walk up from the beach so just something to keep in mind if you're with people who would struggle with uphill walking. The walk in and out of Nerja was fine but felt long after a few days and taxis were hard to get. Ive seen that there's a bus line but we never used the bus. There's also 2 supermarkets nearby which are super handy and the courtyard cafe is a lovely spot for breakfast/lunch.
Went this lunch time with friends as it was handy for where we were going to be in the afternoon. There was no room outside, but our waiter sat us by a large open window and actually the breeze coming in was really pleasant. Had Gazpacho to start which was very good. The main course my first choice was Rosada, but apparently if I was having Rosada it had to be battered. Why for heaven's sake?! Anyway, I didn't want it battered so I settled on the chicken. Quite a big piece of chicken arrived but it was a bit dry to be honest. It came with chips those little skinny things favoured by Macdonalds but no sign of any greenery. Dessert was the usual uninspiring boring fare. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient. 10 euros including a drink and bread. Not too bad, but there are much better in Nerja.
Its getting busier and busier and busier as the years go by. To get a bed by the pool, it seems you have to talk nicely to the bed owner, cross his palm and he will reserve you a bed. The other baby pool area by the bars, is getting crazy, its so busy you dont even know there is grass on the floor at times. Love the place but feel its time to move on to another venue, due to it being so busy. Been going for over 6 years now, every year, but its lost its charm, due to so packed.
