We were seated outside and told we had an hour and a quarter. However, no service came. The same happened at the next table. Someone from the next table drew the waiter's attention to the matter. The next table then got the menus. Unfortunately we don't. We then said goodbye because of the miserable service.
It was very busy weekend on Ameland island due to the rugby tournament taking place, probably because of all the crowd there the service was not the best. But, everything we ordered was very delicious, not that fancy food but good matching combinations: most of the dishes had oven baked potato with garlic filling and many fruits enrichments, the spinach side dish with boiled eggs was good, also the melon with raw ham and port...Very cool dish names! will lose the charm if i translate them to english though (eg Boswandeling, Juttersvondst . At the end we ordered Ameland coffee with Nobeltje likeur inside, its a must :

This week 2x delicious eaten here (salmon). Service is top notch and very customer friendly. Cosy, relaxed atmosphere. During our first visit, our little one (2 years old) slept wonderfully. The second time, the waiter recognized us and was having fun playing with the little one. She even got a nice present. We never actually tip, but we did this time, as a token of appreciation for the service and time they take to make it pleasant for everyone.
