Contribuisci feedbackWe were quite disappointed. We’re sitting outside. Next to us were smokers. We asked to sit somewhere else. They did not even try and at the end the reproached us having said, we did not like to sit next to smokers. The food was very average. As it was warm and the kids were running around, we ordered just plain tap water. They charged 2.50€ for 1/2 liter and we had 5... I. Addition we had 1/2 liter of plain bottled water and 1/2 little of bubble water. We were 5 peoples and we had appetizers, main courses (no kids meal) and deserts. When we asked why the charged so much for tap water, the owner said the water is free, but he has to pay his employees... and then the owner told us, that even smokers are allowed to eat outside in his restaurant not to forget, we did not want to have someone smoking right into our plates... well, we are not going back.
We have been to this place several times and the quality of the food is always excellent and fairly priced. Among other meat specialities the most oustanding is Chateaubriand and believe it or not Black Forest cake is also a must!
We arrived after the kitchens had close but the waiter had cold plates made up for us which were delicious. Good wine recommendation and great dessert. We were very well looked after.
I was here with my family for a dinner. I had the filet Obelix which was cook very nicely and tender, the pepper sauce was superb. Hirsch beer was tasty My parents had asparagus and they were wonderful as well. Staff is very quick, helpful and friendly. I would go there again.
This is a friendly bistro type restaurant, with lavish internal decorations and friendly service. NB This is not in Neuwiller les Saverne which is to the north of Strasbourg, but this is in Neuwiller, next to the Swiss border near Basel. It 's a different Neuwiller and I hope Tripadvisor sorts this out soon. Good restaurant, inexplicably confusing menu that the waiters have to patiently explain to everyone who is not used to it, but a good meal and good value with a specialty on fish and lobster. They seem to be oroud of the obelix steak wbut this is not so memorable
