I hot the dragon roll and veggie tempura. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Veggie Tempura
I will not come back to this place. It's not that the food was bad but the sushi rolls were expensive and very small. I never understood sushi places that give you really tiny cut rolls. I have eaten at way too many sushi places and this is definitely not a value. Definitely blow the standard for this industry as far as the size of the rolls. You end up having to order 20% more to be full compared to other places Price per person: $30–50
I'm writing this review because I would love to inspire a little bit of up leveling. We came in from a long hike and ordered tempura. This is not an expensive or complicated dish. The two of us were given a plate to share which had two slices of sweet potato, three pieces of asparagus, and a garnish of a few very teeny mushrooms. It was decorative, and disappointingly sparse. The rolls were alright, but the rice wasn't sticky rice, and it was dry. The hostess was great. Our waitress was not experienced but she was friendly and doing her best. We were disappointed that the outdoor area wasn't open, but this is minimal compared to our experience with the food. I have to ask myself . . . would I rather have this sushi in Nevada City, versus no sushi. It's a tossup.
