Wooden spoon is a gorgeous cave restaurant tucked in one of the side streets which happened to be round the corner from our hotel. This is one of the restaurants in Goreme, Cappadocia, that don't serve alcohol and being Muslim, that's very important to us. We ordered a chicken pizza and it was done perfectly. The restaurant has a regular table and chair seating and lower table seating where you remove your shoes and sit on cushions. Neat, clean and tidy surroundings. Enjoyable experience.
A beautiful cave restaurant with lovely service and relaxing ambience (where you can sit at normal tables or very comfy cushions on the ground with low tables). The lentil soup and desserts were delicious but the star of the show had to be the vegetarian pottery kebab. Our favourite meal of our week in Turkey. Can’t wait to come again when we’re next in Cappadocia!
Amazing setting, inside of a cave. You can sit on the carpet to eat if you are willing to take off your shoes(why would you not). The decor, music, atmosphere feels very authentic. Best meze I have had in Turkey so far, and the clay pot lamb was amazing as well. A must visit.
Nice and cosy cave restaurant with amazing local food. The sourdough bread is soft and chewy at the same time and goes really well with their tasty yoghurt soup. We tried the diced beef on a pan, which was full of flavour. The price is also reasonable, and the service is warm and welcoming. Highly recommended!
