Very proud to have this establishment in my home town. Have tried many things on the menu and it's all good. The staff has always been courteous and there's something for my whole family (kids love the thin crust pizza! .
This was the first food stop on my Spring Break trip from Memphis to Atlanta. We have been to New Albany a few times for food and honestly it 's become a great little micro foodie spot for me. The lovely bride drove while I snoozed and looked for food. I found this place while vetoing everything in Holly Springs. It had glowing reviews and the food selection seem to please everyone. We arrived at 11:20 and they didn 't open until 11:30 so we sat in the car and waited. They opened exactly at 11:30 and we waited a few minutes before we walked in as the first customers of the day. We enter and they holler out that we can sit anywhere and check out the menu. They then explain you need to come to the bar and order your food. This is strange to me for a couple of reasons. 1)There isn 't a self serve beverage station. 2,3,4,5,6)Someone immediately comes out and takes care of bringing you drinks, delivering your food, refills, checking back on you, and then clearing your plates. If I pay at the counter how do I judge the proper tip beforehand? I wasn 't even sure if it was going to be brought to me or not. I don 't get it. I 'll skip on to the food now that I got that out of the way. I had the number 3 burger. I don 't remember the name. It was like a half pound of cheese and maple bacon crumbles on a ciabatta bun. I loved it!!! I wasn 't prepared for what arrived when it did but every second after that was magical. I had to fold the cheese into the burger and eat it. Damn. Damn. Damn. It was really good. It had a cheese halo around it that was at least 8-9 inches around it. It was like a cheese quesadilla melted into a burger infused with bacon and bread. Damn. The sliced potatoes served with the burger reminded me of my childhood and were Perfect. I loved it all! Damn Charity had the Philly with onion straws. She dug hers too. I can 't elaborate much more as I didn 't try it. She ate it all and gave me the damn this is good face. The onion straws that came with hers are really good. I did try those. Kids had a pepperoni pizza and wore it out. They seemed to really enjoy it and ate all of it and would have probably eaten another if I would have allowed it. Lol. If you can, get by here and check it out. I hope it 's as good as ours was. WTG! BBC! wait? what?
Bankhead Bicycle Club brings an urban feel to the heart of downtown New Albany, Mississippi. Fantastic burgers, thin crust pizza, tacos, and salads are made from the freshest of ingredients and the craft beer is always cold. Lively music and professional waitstaff make for a great dining experience. I love to meet friends here and hang out.
Burger was excellent. Nice, modern decor, slightly steam-punkish. Very nice lunch after a basketball tournament. Definitely recommend if visiting New Albany.
