Buddy's Pizza - New Baltimore

Great experience this evening from the young man who took my phone order. The staff in the very crowded store greeted us with a smile. Everything was ready to go, the manger was out and about helping his staff as this building had only been open a few days. Pizza (we order 3 different kinds) and anti pasta salad were perfect. A+ in our book

I ordered via the app and I'm not sure what went wrong, but instead of ordering for an 8 pm ready time, it was going to be ready much earlier. I called and explained the situation and they had no problem delaying the order until my original intended time. Pickup was easy and the pizza's were delicious, another location up to the high standards of Buddy's Pizza!

First, my entire family are huge fans of Buddy's pizza. We regard it as basically the best in the world. We've eaten at almost all their locations, and never had a single bad experience. When we found out they were opening one in our area (Chesterfield) we were so excited! Immediately after they opened we got our usual, and it was amazing. Perfect! But then we got it again about a week later and it was off. Not terrible, but definitely not right. Almost as if it was madewith unrisen dough. The crust was abnormally thin, and the bottom was hard, instead of crispy. The whole pizza looked deflated and sad compared to what we're used to from them. We thought it a fluke. A week later, we ordered again. Andagain a week after that. In total we've ordered from the Chesterfield loacation about 6 times, and all but the very first time, the pizza was off. Not at all the thick crispy crust we are used to. The toppings are usually lacking ormissing. So we stopped going. Maybe we'll try again in a few months, maybe they need to get some kinks worked out, but I have literally never had a bad Buddy's in all my life and now I'm shying away from them. I even had my weddingrehearsal dinner at the Warren location 25 years ago! Like I said, my family is nuts for Buddy's. But this Chesterfield location is not right. There's a Jets right down the road on 23 mile that is consistently good. Normally, I would neverchoose Buddy's over Jets, but like I said, I gave them a few chances, and they failed to deliver the quality the franchise is known for. Maybe Buddy's has expanded too far, too fast? I hope this isn't an end to an era. I was basicallyraised on Buddy's pizza.
