The Bern And Grill - New Bern

I was looking for a place in New Bern with a good burger. I was tempted to go to the popular regional chain. But, I decided to try something more local. I'm glad I did. This burger was huge. There are so many burger options. I was able to order my burger medium. It was so thick and juicy. It had a lot of meat and was very satisfying. The server was attentive and pleasant. I will definitely be back to try the other flavors of burgers. The side item portions are pretty big. So, I recommend getting a side to share if you are with somebody else. Parking: The restaurant is inside a shopping center. I went at dinner time. There were plenty of open parking spaces.

What a disaster! We ordered two meals. One meal came out fine within a reasonable amount of time. The fries for the second order came out with the first meal but was missing the sandwich. The food runner was very polite and explained that it would be right out as it wasn't quite ready. About 20 minutes later, still no sandwich and when we asked about it, we were told that it was working and would be right out. We checked again at the 40 minute point and found that the sandwich had not even been started. One meal had already been completely eaten so we canceled the second meal and paid for the one meal. This place is one that we would definitely not recommend. We had to go someplace else so the second person in our party could get a meal.

It was very noisy but that's a bar. Hot dogs were quite good and wife finished her meal. I am still waiting for my ru-bern sandwich. It never came so we paid for her meal and left. I'm still hungry but we'll go where the service is a little better. They apologized but what is that worth? Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Great hamburgers! Good service! Was looking for a local place to try and this fit the bill perfectly! I recommend this place and will return next time I'm in town. Very relaxing atmosphere and nice staff. I would take this place over chain restaurants without question!
