Bill Miller B-q - New Braunfels

Tasty breakfast! We ordered. general portions, homemade style meal, huge pancakes, much flavored with cutlery and serviettes. yum!

I am from San Antonio, Texas, which is the home of Bill Miller Grill. They probably think I really like Bill Miller Grill because I am from San Antonio. They have been a San Antonio staple for many years, and I expect many more years to come. Their brisket, turkey, ribs, and sides are very good and made in San Antonio but delivered to nearby cities daily or weekly. I now live in New Braunfels, and this is the second location that has opened there. I like it because it is not very crowded, and we can quickly get in and out since it is off IH-35. My husband loves their potatoes and Mexican rice, while I enjoy their pinto beans and my mother loves their hash browns. They make their iced tea several times a day fresh because it is so popular, and their desserts are also amazing. We even ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from there - highly recommend ordering for a simple Thanksgiving dinner and picking up the day before. There are so many great dishes to try at Bill Miller, I suggest trying a variety of them. Thank you so much for such a great dining experience!

Tonight (2-5-22), I went to the "to-go" section and was shocked to find no cars in the parking lot, and now I understand why. I ordered three meals, and each one had the worst fries I have ever tasted. They were clearly old and reheated. Additionally, the sides (coleslaw, which they only gave me half of) were not fresh and extremely dry, with no flavor at all. It was literally inedible. The chicken was only edible once I removed the breading, which was also disappointing. I am not one to complain about restaurants, but I was truly horrified by the poor quality of the food. It must be a management issue because other Bill Miller locations serve good food. I am sure that Bill Miller himself would be appalled by the current standard at this location. I understand that there were only a few employees working, and the manager seemed busy filling orders, but they need to prioritize quality. With proper management, they could offer fresh and delicious food. I came all the way from Florida to enjoy Bill Miller's, and this experience was a huge disappointment.

When to this newer bill miller bar-b-q I got the fried chicken and my wife got the bbq chickensalat. both weren't done. her was hacked look good on top, but raw chicken under veges. my fried was raw at the bone on the legs and legs. will not stop at this place for a past. was in the drive through not driving back 20 minutes to talk to people who do not care about doing there.

Unfortunately they still have not opened the dining area. And drive through is very busy, but received excellent food and service.
