Clear Springs Cafe - New Braunfels

Clear sources can never satisfy. we have introduced another couple to clear springs, wels and grilled garnels. my usual, a little buddy, surpassed my expectations and was much more than enough food. to my surprise, our male hospitator has not only helped us finish a large amount of wobbles and jalapeno stingers, but, against my advice, ordered a big catfish dinner and ended it! like everyone we brought in clear springs who loved eating and the rustic environment. I have lost the number of people, including our California descendants, who fell in love with clear springs and become regular at the first visit. our children ask for a clear jump menu at each visit. they never let us down.

I've been there for a year, it's like I've been there yesterday! Just the same delicious food served by friendly staff in a short time. catfish platter, some delicious tee. missing!

I ordered the small catfish and was very disappointed as it tasted like mud.

We made multiple calls to inform the restaurant that a party of 14 would be arriving at 7pm for a family celebration. Despite our attempts to provide this information, they did not take it down to make necessary arrangements. Instead, they tried to seat us at two separate tables, but we had to push them together ourselves. We traveled all the way from Schertz for this occasion, but unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

I usually have a good experience at this restaurant, but I had a disagreement with the way a group of 6 was seated last Friday around 7:30pm. There was a larger group waiting outside for their table, but everyone else was being seated promptly. One group was from Seguin and the other from San Antonio. Since I was coming from Seguin and my drive was shorter, I arrived at 7pm with the other group arriving around 7:30pm. The hostess informed us that we couldn't be seated until the entire party was present. I requested to order onion rings and drinks for the 3 of us who were there, but was told I could only order them to go and eat them outside. I didn't understand why this was necessary since there was no waiting list. The hostess explained that it was a matter of restaurant flow. I reluctantly placed the order and had to pay at the hostess stand. When the rest of the group arrived, we were finally seated. After waiting for another 10 minutes at our table, the onion rings arrived. It seemed pointless to have waited outside when we could have been seated and ordered our food at the table. Not only was the hostess snarky and rude, but this experience has turned me off from returning to Clear Springs as a customer.
