Went here for a birthday lunch. Amazed at how they were busy at 2:30 but didn't skip a beat. Service was good. Sat in the room with the river view. We had a variety of food. Onion Rings large were plentiful and delicious for those tahr like onion rings. Tortilla Soup, Grilled Chicken with Mash Potatoes, Chicken Fried Steak with Green Beans and Catfish with Mash Potatoes. All were excellent choices.
Great food as always, I wasn't disappointed I have the chicken fried steak that was pretty good. My wife had the ribs which she loved
Definitely a beautiful location and would go again just to enjoy that alone. Ordered the steak salad. It was pretty good but could have used a crunchy element and maybe some bleu cheese to elevate it. It was just kind of basic but still tasty. I also ordered a pina colada (feeling 1980s nostalgic) and it was tasty but there was no hint of alcohol. It was very weak and consequently a bit disappointing. I'll try a hamburger next time because they looked AMAZING
Let's start with I thought I was hallucinating when I saw a cat walk through the restaurant. Then remembered I had read there are feral cats around the restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. Smit almost felt as if you were sitting among the trees. My husband hadn't been feeling well, so he ordered the pintos and slaw. I had to have the country fried steak. It was good. Not the best of our trip, but enjoyable. The restrooms are outside.
