Chef Luis - New Canaan

Chef Louis was one of the best restaurants in New Canaan. A place to meet with family and friends with delicious food with reasonable prices. This is no longer the case. The food is overpriced and out of date. Even the burger isnt genuine. I have been 2x in the last month and I wont be going back. Chef Louis is still at the helm and as nice as ever but the kitchen is failing. Wait staff arrogant and rude. Hoping hey get it together

My husband and I are usually big fans of Chef Luis, but our recent visit was quite disappointing. The restaurant called us four times to confirm our reservation, and we confirmed each time. However, when we arrived, our waitress hardly gave us a moment to look at the menu before rapidly asking if we were ready to order. She also needed to check for specials. Once we placed our orders, she didn't check in on how our food or drinks were throughout the meal. I took our seven-month-old to the bathroom to change her, and during that time, the staff repeatedly inquired if we were finished. I even had to guard my wine glass to make sure they didn’t take it before I was done. The restaurant was not busy at all, yet we felt very rushed.

I absolutely love this place! I highly recommend trying the rice bowl with churrasco. Chef Luis is incredible and very friendly.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service impeccable. Chef Luis even came out and spoke to us and gave us a complimentary dessert. It was heavenly. I live in New Haven, but the drive to New Canaan was worth it. I will definitely go back.
