Kiara has become our no brainer weekend dinner place with family and friends.
We struggled to find veggie places in Delhi that label vegan friendly items on their menus, but this place certainly bucked the trend. In terms of price, it is at the higher end of the scale, but I feel that the atmosphere, and quality of food and service justify the additional spend as a treat. We opted for the three course vegan menu, which essentially gives you a flat price of 1,500 Rupees and you can select any salad, starter and main dish from the a la carte menu. The only vegan salad was a Pink Papaya Salad, which was very good. For starters, we chose the Steamed Bok Choy Dumplings, which were delicious, and Sweet Potato Pumpkin Galette, which was tasty and imaginatively presented. On to mains, we had Spicy Caffreal Curry, which was nice, and the most amazing Nasi Goreng with Soya Satay (which we would both have again if ever we returned)! Our waiter, Satish, was very professional and attentive. The local area is also worth a visit quite a few nice looking shops, cafes and bars.
Kiara is our go-to choice for a weekend dinner with family and friends.
We had a hard time finding vegetarian places in Delhi that label vegan-friendly menu items, but this restaurant is definitely setting a trend. In terms of pricing, it leans towards the higher end, but I believe the ambiance, quality of food, and service justify the extra expense, as everything was quite delicious. We opted for the three-course vegan menu, which allows for a fixed price of 1,500 rupees, giving us the freedom to choose any salad, starter, and main dish from the à la carte menu. The only vegan salad available was a pink papaya salad, which was excellent. For starters, we chose the steamed bok choy dumplings that were delightful, along with a sweet potato and pumpkin galette that was both visually appealing and imaginative. We also had a spicy caffreal curry, which was wonderful, and the most incredible nasi goreng with soy satay (we would definitely order this again if we ever returned!). Our waiter, Satish, was very professional and attentive. The local area is also worth exploring, with some lovely shops, cafes, and bars nearby.
