Let's start from the top, the ride to the farmers Wheelbarrow is quite a trek, everything else from there on in is an experience. Last Friday we were looking to try something new and innovative and this place ticked all the boxes. We arrived around 9:30ish and were greeted by the owner and chef. The meal started with a delicious gazpacho, followed up with a generous helping of chicken liver pates and beet and potato croquettes.<br/ <br/ The mains however were the real stars of the show. We ordered the steak, Italian saugages with mash and butter sage ravioli. The steak was to die for ... Just outstanding and i don't have enough words to describe how delicious the suasgae and mash were... The ravioili was drenched with a generous dressing of butter and had the fresh salad that the menu had promised. Delicious hand made ice creams rounded our evening and one this is for certain we will be back again.<br/ <br/
Great concept. Good, real , fresh food. Don’t get daunted by the drive to get there it’s worth the effort. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal especially the Steak , and the Ham. The Gazpacho and starters were nice too. The Chef does some amazing home made ice creams and sorbets.
Unusual little place.<br/ If you seek a 'different ' meal experience try this place in Sainik Farms.<br/ Simple layout, BYOB set up, and the chef comes up to you to ask what you are in the mood for (vegetarian, meat-pork/steak/lamb, seafood). You 'll be served a five course meal, beginning with a soup, two starters, your mains, and dessert. You 're dish might take a while, the kitchen is not geared up for quick service. This joint is more about slow living.<br/ The starters were a 3.5/5 but the main course dessert was outstanding, a definite 5/5.<br/ So get a group of good friends along, bring out the favourite bottle of wine /whisky /whatever floats your boat and head on over to this barrow.<br/ Oh and you can get your (well behaved) pet along!<br/ <br/ Just be warned, reaching this place is an 'adventure ' so stick to Google maps for directions... but its worth it.
Awesome food and ambience. It's far away from the madding crowd... Perfect to chill with friends, family, have a party, or even for a romantic dinner. The chef knows what he's doing... He takes a keen interest in his food. The menu here does not run into pages, but it's the kind of food you'll not get very easily in the city. It's simplicity and goodness. A must visit!!
