The interior and garden were beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating covered. The staff were friendly and efficient. While the prices for food were average, the helpful service and food quality were exceptional. We were truly impressed. I had the torte of the day, lamb mint, which was fantastic. My wife opted for the small portion of the roast, which was surprisingly generous and delicious. The desserts were also very good. Kudos to the chef. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning.
I visited this pub tonight because they had a great gluten-free menu, which was important to me. I ordered the Thai fishcakes which were delicious and a nice change. My partner had the cake of the day, which was excellent. The dessert menu could use some improvement. The staff was very friendly and I would definitely come back again.
I absolutely loved it. I couldn't find any faults. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic.
Home cooked eating in a traditional environment. good portion sizes, excellent eating, quite expensive. traditional ales, friendly and attentive staff
Nice place to stay, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable, excellent food, decent size carpark. The bedrooms are very clean and bright, a bit noisy because of the road outside, but not too intrusive. The only negative comment would be that whoever designed the shower room has clearly never tried to wash his face or clean his teeth at the tiny wash hand basin. In itself a bit of a challenge but the positioning of the glass shelf above the basin made these activities almost impossible as you can't really avoid smacking your head on the edge of the shelf when you bend down. If this could be sorted everything would be fine.
