Vito's Deli - New Haven

I have been going to vito since the mid-1980s when the law firm that I was offered presented to them (I went several times a day to order for the lawyers and their meeting. I will miss these subs and salate so much. Thank you. vito is for all delicious foods about the years! best wish in their rest! well deserved! (but sad for new Haven-Foodies!

My favorite sandwich shop since my deceased teenagers. roast beef Russian shiny sub is the bomb! never eaten subway or another sandwich chain again. update: I am so sad that they have never been reopened since the pandemic. there will never be another sandwich shop that will compare with vito’s.

This is a great no-nonsense sandwich business in the city. many chain restaurants have recently moved into the opposite and vito’s is a family business. vito takes the appendages and makes the sandwiches, and they are incredibly filling. filled with the best deli meat, cheese and seasoned. the woman behind the counter is also amazing. she is chatting and welcoming and makes her feel that she has been a customer there her whole life. if you need a great sandwich in a large family-run restaurant, this is your place.

I discovered vito’s deli a month ago and I love it absolutely there. I always get the honeymoon, they have placed an above average amount of meat on the sandwich. the rolls are always fresh, and it is also a very friendly atmosphere. I would recommend vito anyone looking for a good deli. I'm going at least 2x a week.

I absolutely love this restaurant! Every visit feels just as exciting as the first. The ingredients are top-notch, the portions are generous, and the staff is fantastic.
