The Clubhouse - New Hyde Park

I have finally found a place that I enjoy. The service is excellent, I dined in for dinner and the price per person ranges from $10 to $20. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.

I would not recommend ordering the chicken and waffles from this restaurant. It was the worst waffles I have ever tasted. I was surprised because I thought it would be hard to mess up waffles, but they were dry and flavorless. The chicken was mediocre at best, tasting more like tenders. One person at my table mentioned that their steak and eggs tasted like something from McDonald's. The drinks were not mentioned, but overall, the restaurant did not meet high expectations. I happened to stop by on my way home after a wedding and do not plan on returning. There was only one waitress working due to the Labor Day weekend, and she was just okay - not particularly friendly. The ambiance felt like a typical college hangout, leading me to believe the clientele was mostly interested in drinking and possibly having a burger.

I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner or a quick lunch. There is plenty of open space during the week for lunch, but it can get busy in the evenings. They have a great selection of wines and quick service - we got our food in about 30 minutes. The only downside is that there are limited vegetarian options.
