The General Roberts Hotel - NEW LAMBTON

I left my dog Tilly with my uncle Wayne again tonight, but it's okay, she's forgiven me. The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I had the Perfect Pork Belly and my uncle had a superb steak, both cooked to perfection. The service was absolutely outstanding and the restaurant itself is bright and spacious. It has a modern feel without being too fancy, just a great laid back atmosphere. Our server was very helpful and provided some great conversation, which added to our enjoyment of the evening. I wish I had gotten her name, but I will next time because I will definitely be back. I highly recommend The Duke for a meal or a relaxing drink after work.

I called to make a reservation for 20 people for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating they were, not requiring a deposit. I confirmed the final number of guests (16) two days before the reservation. Everyone enjoyed their meals, though I forgot to take photos, apologies. The only issue was when one of my guests sprinkled a bit of salt on the table to test it, and a male staff member saw and scolded her for the mess. Despite this, everyone had a good time and I would still return to The Duke.

Despite a few hiccups, the friendly staff did their best to make our experience enjoyable. Once the food arrived, it was delicious and well worth the wait.

Katarina was the best!! Hands down, if it was not for her our night would have been the worst. She could see the issues we were having due to other patrons and was prompt to address our needs, go out of her way to make sure we were happy and was just a pleasure to have around us. Because of her, we will be back. Don't let this one go!

Had the battery balls and they were disgusting. they did not know that they were reis muddy soft and gooey no taste. older chicken carvings were like a chicken and the garlic bread was dried and no taste.
