Fred's Shanty - New London

I enjoyed my shrimp dinner and other items I tried. The only downside was that I was hoping to have lobster.

It was our first visit to this restaurant, and we were very happy with our experience. The staff were friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were perfect. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't have bathroom facilities, which was a bit inconvenient after a two-hour drive. However, the nearby restaurant was very kind and allowed my group of six to use their facilities.

The lobster roll was absolutely incredible! This restaurant was exactly what I envisioned for a fantastic takeout spot, offering genuine seafood at a great price. I've never had a lobster roll anywhere else that even comes close to this one! For motorcycle riders, this is a must-visit stop before or after the ferry!

The only reason I gave Fred's four stars is that I am not the biggest fan of flounder. I'm more of a cod person. Some people say that they are the same. They're not. It was tasty. Friendly, and accommodating staff. Price is right. Speed of service was good. Definitely will go back.
