Hot Rod Cafe - New London

One of the best wing experiences I've ever had! The mango habanero sauce is fantastic—sweet with just the right amount of spice. It's perfectly balanced! I can't wait to explore more of their sauces.

I booked an Airbnb for a weekend in New London, and it turns out the owner also manages Hot Rod Cafe. We decided to give it a try, and I'm really glad we did. I ended up ordering more food than I expected! We had the garlic lemon pepper wings, lumpias, a Philly cheesesteak wrap, the Caribbean burger, and a few Tox Sours from a local brewery. The restaurant has a nice seating area in the back that overlooks the water. The atmosphere is very relaxed, our waitress was incredibly friendly, and the place is clean. I can definitely say that this will be a must-visit on my next trip to New London.

We needed a highchair, and not only did they have several available, but they also disinfected it at our table without us even asking! I ordered a Budweiser in a bottle, and it was excellent. Our waiter, Joseph, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The wings were outstanding and quite filling! We never felt rushed and genuinely enjoyed our Sunday night dinner. Joseph was very knowledgeable, answering all our questions about the menu and offering great advice on the spiciness of the Cajun fries. I really wish I had taken pictures of our food, but we devoured it before I had the chance! Thank you, Joseph, for a fantastic evening!

This place is mad cool. S/O to their staff. Everyone from the walk in to the walk out were kind and helpful. The wings are very good. Food was fresh and hot. I would like to go back during the summer when I know it’s really a great hang out.

The waitstaff was very intuitive and took great care of us. The wings were delicious, beer cold and menu included too many specials for one evening. We will be back.
