It is in a neighborhood, there are not many parking spaces, and not all that many seats inside. However, we could park nearby and go right in without waiting time. It is very clean inside and has a beautiful feeling. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, and our cocktails were very good. I had a bowl of seafood gumbo that was good. We ordered the Giant Seafood Platter as our main. One, it's definitely a GIANT plate, and two, everything on it was EXCELLENT! We also had the coconut bread pudding, and I'm just sorry we didn't order one! I definitely come back when I'm in the area
Finally a break and went there. I love carburized oysters and theirs were among the best I've ever eaten. It was late and I was alone and they made room for me. I hear the Flounder is great and I'll come back to try. It was more than I could eat alone.
Small location, but still spacious. The food was great. The staff was even better! Generous portions, even I couldn't finish everything. If I lived here, I would come weekly. Very recommended
Deanie's Seafood on Magazine is a better dining option if you enjoy Deanie's, but away from the French Quarter. The staff here is quite hospitable and I like, as every time I visit, I see the manager in the kitchen area that supports the staff. The location is clean and spacious with exterior and interior fit. Some articles I had here are cheesecake, house grilled shrimp salad, crab balls and fried shrimps. The cheese cake is wonderful with the strawberry. The house grilled shrimp salad was mentioned as on the menu. The crab balls were fair; not sure if I would order them again. And the fried shrimps were fine, but need a little more season. I recommend Deanie's Seafood and I'll return.
Ok, it's a chain...but a really good chain! Excellent oysters, shrimp and catfish. Didn't have room to try anything else ...!
