We had enough to take half of it home for a picnic the next day! It was about 50 bucks before drinks, and we got 4 total meals out of it. Great value as well as being scrumptious! Sweet people working there, cute atmosphere, everything house made.
STUNNING food!! We travel constantly and wherever we don't have accommodation with a kitchen, cooking equipment, etc, we revert to living off of takeaways. We were sick of fast food options and wanted something a bit healthier and different so we tried this place. And we weren't let down by it! We ordered: falafel platter, with humus, kale, cabbage salad, tahini, toum, zhoug and fresh bread chicken platter, with humus, kale, cabbage salad, tahini, toum, zhoug and fresh bread brussel sprouts (flash fried in lemon vinaigrette) It was all extremely fresh, and tasty! Best falafels I've tasted! Highly priced though for what it is, but we thoroughly enjoyed our delicious dishes. Highly recommended.
This is simply outstanding Mediterranean food in a cute but casual environment. You order at the counter and even the interior is simple. It strikes me as more of a lunch place rather than dinner. The food is delicious. We loved the spicy chicken, the falafel And the various vegetable dishes we had. Also they don’t have an extensive wine list but the wine they have is delicious and priced fairly. In our case we had an Armenian wine which I have never had before and it was absolutely wonderful. Come here for high-quality ingredients and food prepared by talented people.
If you live for falafel without all the parsley inside then this spot is for you! Also a wonderfully creative menu, with all the healthy options you could ask for! Delicious and healthy food all in one place- I found out about them from their food truck, and have only heard good things from others I've talked to about them. Worth a visit!
For some reason NO has at least 6 Middle Eastern restaurants and Cafes. 1000 Figs is in the top 2, for quality, authenticity and portions. The platters are huge, way to much so they are really for 2 or 3 meals? The best and I'm not sure these are Middle Eastern, are the roasted brussel sprouts. No alcohol but next door is a wine bar where you can sit and eat your 1000 Figs lunch accompanied by a dry rose oh so continental! I almost thought I was in Europe! Great food, small, and intimate, always crowded at lunch and weekends
