Rosie's - New Oxford

Great place for a good breakfast to start the day free. If you want to try scrap, this is your place! You also have pudding and hominy on toast if you are adventurous. I had eggs about light and alllette for the week I was in town and everything came great. Next time I'm in New Oxford, I'll eat Rosie.

Yesterday I had to drive from Fairfax VA to IdentoGO from IDEMIA, which is the building right behind Rosies so that the daughter could get background check for a summer job. We asked for a decent and simple place to have a quick breakfast almost lunch. It's 10 a.m., but we've been since 7 a and have to get back to the street. Rosie's was suggested. If you go to the door, you can smell the home kitchen fragrances that penetrate the air. When you enter, the view of a small city dinner, not fancy a bit tired, but clean. Uncertain if we sit down our not we mute on the counter and right then a lady swings past and says wherever you like We do at the switch. What I love!! The counter is regular table height very good chair friendly. No banging feet and legs are deaf. The menu is not big like IHOP or country food chains, but it looks delicious. I ordered the omelet with carved steak and cheese, the sides were cut potatoes and butter roast. They have different types of bread. The daughter had a waffle with heated strawberries, keeping on the cream, but yes on chocolate chips. Ten minutes later we enjoy the best breakfast ever. The kitchen is partially open and you can see the staff efficiently and quietly did their tasks. None of the crazy screams and pliers of the dishes. Bathroom seemed clean. Our bill was close to $13. It was great, and if I'm ever back in the area, I'll make it a point to stop and eat here. The staff was friendly, not excessively chatting, so customers enjoy their rest and food.

Great house cooked food. We had meat loaf, cheeseburger, chilled chicken, potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, fries, corn frit, French toast, mozzarella sticks and bacon. All were excellant. The staff is also great. I highly recommend them. We will be back!!!
