La Stazione Italian Resturant

We've been visiting this restaurant for years whenever we travel north, and we decided to stop for lunch one early autumn afternoon. As always, we were not disappointed. The mussels in a garlic white wine sauce, served with crostini, were absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed homemade, fresh orecchiette with broccolini, topped with a hot garlic olive oil sauce from Tuscany, which was incredible. The freshly made pappardelle, served in a sauce of tomatoes, capers, Kalamata olives, anchovies, garlic, and a hint of marinara, was equally delightful. We complemented our meal with a good Pinot Grigio, which paired perfectly with the dishes. It's truly worth a visit!

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. My family and I make it a point to visit every time we're in New Paltz. You can tell that all the dishes are prepared fresh, and the portion sizes are generous! The service is really friendly, and they even offer terrace seating with an outdoor bar! My wife and I particularly love their Mojitos, which are made with their very own fresh mint!

I can only say wow! This restaurant is located in an old railway station, and I absolutely love the architecture of the building. The Italian cuisine is excellent as well. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit. We began with Caprese, and I had the fettuccine, which was creamy and an incredible recipe. For dessert, we ordered a Napoleon that was simply amazing. I always like to have an appetizer and a dessert to truly experience a place, and this one definitely exceeded our expectations. It was worth navigating with our GPS to get here. If you’re heading to the Catskill region, this is a must-visit!

Amazing food. Our table ordered two chef specialties; 1. Butternuss Quark Ravioli and 2. chicken breast pounded thin and rolled with proscuitto, asparagus, roasted red pepper and Fontina in a brown vermouth sauce, served with potatoes and delicate... DIVINE! The others on our table also ordered the Pasta Carbonara and it qas Deelicious. Two big thumbs from the whole family. Amaretto cream broth took it all off.

The staff is friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. The venue is intimate and cozy. What else could you ask for?
