Hot Tails - New Roads

The food was excellent, but I had some issues with my order. When I called to place it, the person on the other end went through the details of the lunch special. However, after waiting for 45 minutes for my order, I noticed that the lunch special was being served repeatedly to other customers. On a positive note, the service was provided by a very friendly person!

I’m from out of state and was in New Roads for a quick work trip. My colleagues and I were craving Cajun food before heading out, so we quickly searched online and found Hot Tails, which was just a few miles from our site. I’m glad we made that choice! I ordered the crawfish burger, while my teammates had the shrimp po’boy and the thin catfish platter. The portions were generous, and we were all very satisfied with our meals! The staff was friendly and constantly checked in on us to ensure everything was good. If I find myself in this area again, I will certainly return to try more items from the menu.

My absolute favorite restaurant in town! The food always exceeds my expectations. I really appreciate how spicy everything is. They also have a fantastic selection of beers on tap. I always order the barbecue shrimp—it’s simply incredible! You can’t go wrong with this spot!

My wife and I ordered the combo plate with fish and shrimp, and she added a Caesar salad on the side. We ended up with a to-go box because there was so much food we couldn't finish! I tried one of their signature Happy Hour drinks, the Millionaire Moonshine, and it was so delicious that I had to order a second one. We don't visit this restaurant frequently, but since we were in the area that day, we decided to stop by again. It was a fantastic meal, just like the times we’ve enjoyed in the past.

SPICY Everything! If you love Cajun seasoning you 'll probably love this place. Called in a pickup order while on vacation. Order was ready and correct when we pulled up they have a pickup window , and the attendant was quick and friendly. Ordered the grilled shrimp as I 'm not huge on fried seafood or super spicy..and was highly disappointed. To be fair, I probably should have asked but wasn 't expecting everything including the sauteed veggies, okra, and hush puppies to be swimming in so much spice I couldn 't taste anything else. *Correction, the shrimp plate included a piece of French bread that contained zero seasoning. That said, hubby is not so put off by heavy spices and thought the meal was alright .
