Ikoi Sushi - New Westminster

Good food. Plain Jane decor. Super attentive service. Timely serving of food. Freshness was good, taste was good. Prices average.

This is a great restaurant. Food is really fresh. Not much ambiance, but very friendly and accommodating. Great food at a great value.

My partner and I have eaten at this restaurant twice, and have also ordered take-out twice. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Friendly service. The lunch boxes are good. Their karaage chicken (deep fried pieces of chicken) are very good. Nigiri sushi...is also good. The only complaint I have, is that there needs to be more sauce in the oyako donburi (a bowl of chicken and egg over rice). I have ordered it twice, and both times there was not enough sauce. I even made it a point to ask for more sauce the second time I ordered it for take-out. I was told that they DID make sure there was enough sauce, but the rice was still dry. Went back inside the restaurant to show them and the server expressed surprise we were told that extra sauce costs cents more. We paid the extra money the donburi was good. However ... even though the cost for extra sauce is minimal, it should not be necessary to ask for additional sauce, as it should already have ample sauce in the bowl. Other than that, we have been very happy with the quality and prices of their food. We do wish the restaurant was in a better location. It is in an "out of the way" location. It would do much more business if it was located in a place such as uptown New Westminster (the area around the Royal City Centre Mall). We do like the food and service at Ikoi restaurant, so we will continue to dine there.

Very fast and friendly service. Not a fancy place when it comes to interior design but the quality of the food and service negate that.

I found this Restaurant here on Trip Advisor and I was completely surprised. The exterior of the restaurant was a little concerning as it is located in the back of a small strip mall. Upon arrival we were greeted pleasantly and shown to our table....The Nagari was fresh and tasty with just enough wasabi in the middle. Teriyaki chicken tasted as expected. The rolls very tasty and fresh. By the time we left the restaurant was packed and a line was starting. I will return as it was a good meal Good prices and great flavours.
