Most of the food was delicious, but the bread must be an acquired taste. It was sour, which I'm not used to. Since you use the bread to pick up and eat the food, instead of utensils, you eat a fair amount of it. There's some nice cultural decor on the walls, but overall the restaurant is a bit plain. The chairs make a loud scraping sound when sitting down or getting up, which made it awkward. The outside of the restaurant isn't inviting. I think with a few renovations, more people would visit. Overall, our experience was positive and the man serving us was friendly.
Friendly service. Delicious food. Great experience for my first time at an Ethiopian restaurant. We ordered the veggie and meat platters to get a taste of (almost) everything!
It was our first time having Ethiopian food and it was really good. We had the mixed meat platter. We found it really hard to eat the whole piece of chicken with just our right hand. The samosas were absolutely amazing!
Been wanting to go here for a while! Got the vegetable and meat platter (which is probably the best thing to order for first time Ethiopian food eaters, such as myself). I enjoyed the food very much. As for the atmosphere, I loved the decor on the walls and it was very quiet. Our waiter was quite friendly! Only issue was the wait for the food (which was rather long considering that we were only one of 3 tables).
My go-to Ethiopian restaurant. Just had a great lunch there. Love the vegetarian platter the best. Go there whenever I am an in New West and want something authentic.
