However, the establishment could benefit from promoting a more social atmosphere to attract a larger crowd looking to mingle. Presently, it feels more like a restaurant with a small bar in the center. Each group tends to stick to their own table and does not seem inclined to interact with others. The bar in the middle only seems to attract regulars and bar stool sitters. These patrons are not necessarily the most inviting or sociable individuals.
This bar in Sapperton is a hidden gem. The District Beer is one of the best beers I've had in the city. The happy hour deals are incredible, and the staff who work here are very polite and friendly. The bartender, Jack, is very knowledgeable about mixology, and my server, Gaby, was energetic and cheerful. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to quench their thirst and have a good time. The food was also really good.
What happened to all the great and enthusiastic employees? A pity that this was a big local pub in the past, where you went here weekly. in the last months the service and food quality is downhill. Now brunch's gone too.
I have visited this restaurant three times since last year and have never had a positive experience with the service. The service has always been mediocre at best. The best service we received was tonight, but even then our server forgot my friend's order of wings and struggled to explain the mistake. I feel sorry for the server as their performance reflects poorly on the management, which clearly does not prioritize customer service. This experience was the final straw for me, and I will not be returning. I was disappointed after my first visit and this was strike three.
Sub-par. Although happy hour drink prices are great, the food is not despite being priced to match inflation. I was very disappointed to be charged extra for requesting mustard on my burger (which had already been upgraded from their basic). Fries also do not come with ketchup. If you’re paying almost $20 for a mediocre meal, it’s ridiculous to be charged the same price as a full bottle of the condiment to get a small squeeze for on top on your dinner.
