When asked about it, the waitress admitted the chicken was cooked in the morning (it was currently 8PM)! I looked over her shoulder to see a steel bowl containing old chicken, presumably from the morning, that was sitting unrefrigerated. Extreme danger of food poisoning here. FOOD: $10-13/entree.ATMOSPHERE: dirty, inappropriate music, SERVICE: however friendly, and I did receive a refund, the service of the kitchen was deplorable. WASHROOM: filthy.Would I go back? Absolutely not. At least not until it passes a health authority inspection .
Not much on decor but then, you can't eat decor! Friendly and efficient service. Menu is quite extensive with a good variety of combos plus maki rolls, sashimi, bentos etc. Prices are more than reasonable, portions ample, everything fresh. The sushi chefs know their craft and are fast moving. Miso soup is the best in New West! Very busy with regulars and take out. Happy diners tell the story.
Sushi Tang is not the fanciest place but they have great sushi and friendly staff for a good price. Be prepared for a friendly greeting when you arrive and a big thank you when you leave.
Very friendly. Offered the 3 kids complementary apple juice, which was very generous. Their Economy Dinner Combo is a pretty good deal. The sushi was fresh. Main shortcomings are no tempura in their bento boxes, so we had to order separate and the sashimi are very fresh but smaller than some other places we frequent,
My wife and I eat here often. The lady (Lee) and two men (Harry, Jin) that work at this tiny little Japanese restaurant on 6th, are always on shift, and welcome us like family every time. The menu has a decent selection, and the prices are very good. The atmosphere is not much and the place is quite small, but the service is always stellar.I would not call it a destination per-se, but if you are in New Westminster and looking for decent sushi at a reasonable price with great service, you would be hard pressed to to better locally here.
