11 Hanover Greek - New York

My first impression was that it was absolutely beautiful! The white accents really gave it a Greek vibe.

This restaurant is a good choice in the Financial District area, although there are limited choices for ethnic cuisine. I dined here with a client and we had a group of 5 or 6 people.

I am happy that my boyfriend's colleague suggested this restaurant for dinner because the grilled octopus was absolutely amazing.

The restaurant was conveniently located for us and the menu looked good. When we arrived they had no way to check a reservation and didn't have a table ready for us. It took about 15 minutes for someone to even greet our table, so we could already decide on our dinner when a server spoke to us for the first time. It then took another 25 to 30 minutes for our dinner to arrive. We had a Caesar Salad, Slider and Lobster Mac and Cheese and I wouldn't order anything more. The beer was good and it seemed a fun place. There was live music which was really good, but the whole place was so loud that it was impossible to talk to.

Although you can make a reservation on YOUR website, they do not want to honor it. The waitress was amazed at a reservation. It gets busy and super loud to the point that even though you yell in someone's ear ... they can't hear you.
