Anchor Grill - New York

Looks like this place has shut down. We walked all the way across town because Google said it was open and when we got there, it looked like the place had shut down for good.

Service was lovely, ambiance is great, and the food is extremely delicious!!! We got steak frites and the filet mignon platter, and some chili mayo on the side. The steak frites platter meat was so tender and flavorful, and the same goes for the filet mignon platter. For dessert we had the goat ice cream and baklava, and man oh man was that the stuff of dreams. Highly recommend!

I ate at this restaurant twice, once with a friend and once with my husband, although we ordered it out quite often. Everything was really good, the steak, burgers and mushroom ravioli. It's a small place but has a good amount of seating.

Let's not lie, you're only here for the Instagram. If I could give 3.5 stars, I could but the coffee was delicious here. Super strong and full bodied flavor. Purple Sweet Potato Bing Soo: In terms of taste, this was alright. Typical of Asian desserts, the sweetness was very subtle which I liked; although you can taste the starchiness of the sweet potato which I didn't enjoy as much. Presentation of the dessert is extremely beautiful though and the store itself is decorated very cutely. The real reason you should be her though, is that Iced Coffee. Super strong and flavorful

Really a shame that this exceptional restaurant had to close. It was a great addition to the Hell 's Kitchen roster of really good restaurants. Food and service were first class I will miss it. Am wondering if the Anchor Grill menu might still be available at the sister restaurant Istanbul Grill right next door to what used to be the Anchor Grill maybe they can answer that question on line.
