Ascent Lounge New York

This review is specifically for afternoon tea. There were 2 of us on 1/1/24, reservation was necessary, slight delay in getting started they were apologetic. Atmosphere was fantastic, we were seated by the windows. Service was polite and met expectations. Every element of the sweets, savories, and scones was on point. The tea selection was excellent, though unfortunately was served oversteeped. Overall this is one of the top afternoon teas available in the city, strongly recommended.

Beautiful place with a beautiful view, Had such an amazing time. Very friendly staff. Martin our server was very warm and attentive.

The staff , a certain Kate , who was at the front desk when we arrived , has no manners , unskilled , arrogant , self absorbed and disgusting etiquette . I am a 'FAN ' of the MO group and we were treated in a manner that is beyond atrocious. I will never visit that MO Lounge ever again . We asked for a table for 2 at appr 1h30 pm , we were told in a cold manner that she has no tables available and that she was fully booked until 8 pm this same evening , but more than half the lounge was empty , visibly .We accepted politely and walked away . We then made(some 5 min later a reservation online for 2 people at the same MO Lounge which was accepted for 2h15 pm on the very same day . Suddenly the lounge was free and available . A 'miracle ' occurred.We went back upstairs and confronted her . Asked her why she would lie to us and be so unhelpful , inconsiderate and unproductive . It got awkward ! While we speaking to her , she kept looking at the Lounge Manager and laughed .When we asked for her name , she replied 'what does it matter '.Never again will i go back there , the MO can keep their lounge !The MO in NY has sadly lost its touch in skill , dealing with human beings and Customers who stay in their hotels all over the world .What a disappointment !

Hostess was rude, went in to celebrate our anniversary. Didn’t let us sit by the window when there’s four table open. I felt treated unequally so we left.

The hostess was really rude. We just wanted to sit at the bar and enjoy our friends that were in town.
