I had the Bambu Special, and it was the perfect drink to cool me down on a hot summer day. It was my first time trying Vietnamese dessert drinks, and I can definitely say it won't be my last! I especially loved the Bambu; the combination of pandan jelly, grass jelly, and red tapioca in coconut milk was amazing. They even removed the ice ball when I mentioned that I wouldn’t be drinking it right away. It's a shame I didn’t discover this place sooner, even though it had been on my radar for quite some time!
When I heard that they shut up until the end of the month, I had to look past my list. I'm really sad that my first time here will be my last. I wish I knew more about bambu, because I would have come as often as possible. hopefully bambu will reopen to other places because I think one thing about my drink!
I was thrilled when Bambu opened a few years ago, bringing a taste of Vietnamese desserts to NYC, so you can only imagine my disappointment upon hearing that they will be closed next week. Nevertheless, I'm leaving a 5-star review from my previous visits in hopes that they will return someday! I made sure to visit last Sunday, where I tried the Longan Sunrise and my partner had the Avo Coffee. Some of my past favorites include the Fruit Addict and the Bambu Favorite. Where else can you find such unique and refreshing desserts? For just $6 or $8, Bambu, you will be missed!
Unfortunately bambu closes the 31st august so they should hurry to get their Vietnamese che in nyc because after they have to go all the way to south philadelphia. I recommend the bambu special for a refreshing ice-covered cocos water drink full of fun pandan jelly, basilikum, cocosnuss and longan fruit. their cash either did not work so that they take venmo, cash or cell.
Bambu is closing at the end of august so i had to pay them a visit since i've never tried their drinks! 8/16/22 -peach oolong tea: i don't drink fruit teas that often but this was so refreshing and delicious! the subtle peach flavor really complements the oolong tea well, and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet either. i do wish that they used a bit less ice, since the drink was $5. but, it was definitely one of the best oolong fruit teas that i've had and i would definitely get it again if i ever was in the mood for a cold drink! (4.5/5)
