Bistro Chat Noir - New York

Beautiful little French restaurant. beautiful service and eating was really excellent (try the mushroom soup! the only comment is on the noise level. at peak times it is really impossible to hear without screaming. other than that, an excellent culinary experience.

Went for my friends birthday and could not be happier. we love it there!

Eating is excellent, the personal is welcoming and the atmosphere invites you! one of my favorites!

I was looking for a place near the Frick (which it is- only a 5 minute walk). The food was fine. The ambiance was fine. The waiter was nice. But nothing was great, or even very good. The appetizer plate included an under ripe tomato. The salad with green beans was just a pile of green beans, nothing special or particularly tasty. Perfectly fine, which for NYC isn't saying much.
