Bistro Le Steak - New York

Came for New Year’s dinner. The food and service was excellent!

We’ve always had good meals at BLS. Unfortunately, NYE was our first bad experience crab martini appetizer had no crab chunks at all and was a goop of mayonnaise. Unclear how they dish made it out of the kitchen. Poor quality control. Our entrees took almost an hour to arrive and the Halibut special was tasteless and dry. Others around us experienced similar disappointments as we overheard many complaints. Our Waiter apologized and suggested that the holiday crowd and special menu items were causing problems. From my perspective, the restaurant was no busier than a typical weekend night and I am not sure why food execution was impacted the Halibut was a featured item. We will likely overlook this disappointment and return again as we’ve had many positive experiences until now, but there are too many good restaurants in the area to accept another disappointing meal.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Food was very good, nice portions. Unfortunately one of the dishes we ordered, pork chop, was way over done and dry. The rest of the dishes (steak, lamb, and seafood) and appetizers were prepared as ordered and very tasty.

Had a late mid week dinner. Excellent service and good food!

Just what I hoped for for Christmas dinner with my family. Quaint, warm, Christmas light decorations and a delicious meal. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We had the garlic Gorgonzola bread and calamari as appetizers. Yum! I loved that they didn’t rush us and that they waited for us to be done before the entrees came out. I had the sole almondine, my husband the ribeye, my eldest the burger and my youngest the penne with chicken. All were perfect. I made sure to save room for dessert. I had the chocolate mousse which was rich and creamy. A perfect Christmas dinner. Would definitely recommend for any time of year.
