Cafe Hugo - New York

The restaurant was a week of reception in the hotel closed. that was extremely disappointing when I planned this dinner for my wife's birthday. we have never been notified by mav or open table, the service used for booking. I called twice earlier in the week to confirm and got no answer. I just thought they were busy. I got an email Saturday to confirm w/ open table, so I thought everything would be good to go. Note: this was due to a pulsd deal. I have sent pulsd by e-mail and was quick to ensure that this would be done and that my emperors will be returned for the voucher (will publish an update after maintenance) very disappointed in the restaurant because they did not alert the people to their closure and do not monitor the customers or alert that they were not open. finger crossed, but check them w/ the hotel the restaurant is before booking, as the website still lives and takes reservations

Return with some from the city visitors for an early evening meal! we had the best time. the personal was very friendly and very courteous with the food restrictions for one of us. the lamb is amazing, super aromatic and delicate the new yorker in italien is my new favorite cocktail! can not wait to come back with more friends. grazie mille!

Eating was very under expectation and the service was terrible. we returned the seafood pasta when she looked out and tasted as if they came out of a microwave to which they would let us choose something else. our server was hardly present to check on us or see how the new court was, so we asked if it was possible to cover an app or a round beverage. the manager point blank told us that because we eat that, this was not a food and beverage problem, so we are more than welcome not to tap our server. by someone working in the service industry, this experience was really something else and we will not return.

Meh, needs a lot of work. menu needs and upgrade, service needs upgrade. pretty much everything except the cocktails was subpar.

Very nice place,cozy,small,but comfortable,the staff are very nice,i do appreciate that they don't constantly come at your table often,you get to enjoy your meal and conversation without being interrupted
