Calle Ocho - New York

The food was average and we may not return, but we still enjoyed ourselves during our visit.

I've been a fan and patron of Calle Ocho since it was on Columbus Avenue. The food remains delicious and the staff is stellar! I love everything on the menu, but my Faves are the Arepa and Shrimp appetizers along with the ropa vieja and Lachs entrees. The drinks are also fantastic! This is my way to the restaurant at any time I want a relaxed night with delicious food. They also have a great happy hour and live music a few nights a week.

Great food and service. I liked and appreciated checking on vaccination card and id at the door.

Nice spot. Really good food. Very strong drinks. Went for brunch with a friend. The only “complaint” if you want to call it that is the kitchen closes at 3 for brunch and my reservation was at 2:45 so we had to rush to order food and personally the portion was a bit small but that’s because I can eat a lot. Overall I would come back but maybe for dinner to see how it is.
