Columbia Deli - New York

The people working behind the counter are RUDE AF ! My mother told me she was sick not feeling well , so she called Columbia deli asked for them to deliver something for her. The old Mexican guy with glasses told her over the phone to wait 5 minutes call back. She then called back he told her to get off her ass walk down stairs to get it do exercise mind you it was DARK it was late at night. Do not buy from this store ! They are mean cold hearted. Little do they know that we know the boss he won 't agree to letting these people continue working while making him lose money. Terrible service

It's not an overpriced ripoff deli like so many bodegas. This is a place people order dinner from, breakfast at all hours. One thing that impressed me was, I've been living here a couple years, I've come in with my kids and bought ice cream or a cool drink on a hot day the guy who works the register, he knows everyone he knows your face. If you're short 50 cents for what you put on the counter, he puts in the change himself and says, hit me back when you've got it. How many businesses run on trust like that? I love this place and there's a reason the whole neighborhood shops here.

They just sold be a old cooked cheese burger my food was disgusting very disappointing

I'm sorry but I'm not making any of this up on what I'm about to say! Today March 5th 2022 at 1:40pm I was standing at the deli waiting patiently to order my Sandwich a chop cheese so I'm standing there and waiting and the guy behind the deli doesn't acknowledge me at all. So I'm about to walk up to the register to make my order when a Latin person walks in starts talking in Spanish to the deli guy and I got skipped I know that the deli guy can understand English because I order there before so idk what happened but I feel that was extremely racist and not nice to say to at all. I'm never eating anything here again and I live upstairs above them. A shame really.

We go there often to buy some snacks. The service is always satisfactory but they charge different price on same item. We get charged more when there is girl cashier and we get charged less when a man cashier is there. They should fix this.
