A long-standing favorite in the Lower East Side/East Village, this small family-run business is one of the few neighborhood spots still open for business. With a kitchen full of love, you can order anything and be sure it will be delicious. I'm thrilled that they have reopened and I highly recommend a visit.
This restaurant serves the best chicken tamale in lower Manhattan.
Walked in towards the end of the night, and the staff was so friendly and kind. Steak and chicken burritos were delicious. Great take-out place, can’t wait to go back.
The sudden closure of a downtown bakery nearly a year ago was a devastating loss for a neighborhood that already had plenty of restaurants, but very few affordable and delicious Mexican options that also served breakfast burritos. The reopening of this bakery is a welcomed return. While the menu has been streamlined and the interiors updated, the food remains the same. Their breakfast burrito is a must-try in the East Village. Visit and cross your fingers that this restaurant never shuts down again.
